ASA Provincials 2008- 2009

BU16 Gunners defeat Foothills Kickers 4-2 to place 7th out of 12 teams.

GU14 Milan defeat Sherwood Park 4-3 to place 5th out of 12 teams.

BU12 Storm defeat Airdrie Aztecs 4-3 to place 7th out of 10 teams.

WRC Elite win GOLD in GU16 Tier III at the 2009 Slush Cup.

WRC Milan qualifies for ASA Provincial berth in Gu14 Tier III.

WRC Storm qualifies for ASA Provincial berth in BU12 Tier III.

WRC Gunners qualifies for ASA Provincial berth in BU16 Tier II.

WRC Wolves in second place in Bu10 Tier A, Division 2.

WRC Storm win GOLD in CMSA Indoor 08-09 Tournament.

GOLD MEDAL at the ASA Provincials for the Boys U14 Gunners in Tier II!

Six teams placed in the top three of their respective CMSA leagues. Three teams qualified for a Tier II ASA Provincial berth.  BU14 Gunners, GU16 Mustangs  and GU18 Mustangs. Three other teams  BU12 Storm, BU16 Arsenal & GU14 United all placed third in the CMSA League in Tier III.  The first year U10 teams had excellent results.  Well done teams!

Congratulations going out to the Bu14 Gunners who have just won GOLD at the Red Deer Coca Cola Tournament.  They represented their team and our club extremely well both on and off the field.  See Club photos!

Congratulations to the Gu16 Mustangs who have just won SILVER in Tier 1 at the CMSA Girl's Tournament. 

Gu12 United won Silver at last weekend's Cranbrook Soccer Tournament.  Congratulations!

Fourth place at the ASA Provincials for the Gu16 & Gu18 Mustangs.

Congratulations to the Gu16 Mustangs who have just won SILVER in Tier 1 at the CMSA Girl's Tournament. 

Gu12 United won Silver at the Cranbrook Soccer Tournament.  Congratulations!

March 2008.

U16 Mustangs Win Gold In 2008 Tier I Kelowna Ice Breaker Tournament:
The U16 Mustangs won gold in Kelowna over the Easter weekend, going undefeated for 5 games. The Mustangs only surrendered 3 goals and scored 11 goals against their opponents. Congratulations to Brittany B. for winning the Golden Boot award in the tournament. Brittany scored 7 of the 11 goals.

Honour Roll for WillowRidge Soccer at the ASA Provincial and Inter-city Championships
 

February 2008.    Gu12 United Tier II win GOLD in the CMSA 07-08 League and will represent our Club at the ASA Provincials in March.

Gu12 Internationals Tier III win Silver in the CMSA 07-08 League and will represent our Club at the ASA Provinicals in March.

Gu10 Panthers win Silver at the recent CMSA February Tournament. Coach Dave says "The girls played well and other Coach Dave and I were very proud.  High Performance Soccer Academy technical training is paying off everywhere!"

Gu16 Elite place fourth at the same CMSA Tournament.

Gu18 Mustangs placed third in Las Vegas and spent some serious shopping dollars!

 

Jan 2008.  Congratulations to the CMSA All Star Tournament MVP Award Winners Celina Ellingwood and Keeley Gormley of the Gu12 WillowRidge United team and Amanda Schafer from the Gu14 WillowRidge Milan team.

Jan 2008.  The "United" team of Carburn and WillowRidge players went undefeated to win the "Gold" medal at the CMSA January 2008 Tournament.   This is great example of the combined efforts and benefits of Carburn Sports and WillowRidge Soccer!

Last few minutes were very exciting but the girls hung on to win 2-1 against the Foothills Gryphons.   We are very proud of the newly formed team!

October 2007.  Just back from the 2007 Women's World Cup in China!  We were able to give our good luck banner to the team the night before their Australia game.  They taped it to their dressing room wall and thanked us for our support.  Way to go WillowRidge!

Spring 2008.  NEW  A full size game field has been built for the WillowRidge Soccer Program.  Stay tuned for future announcements on other WillowRidge Soccer projects!  

Anyone interested in joining one of our existing teams is invited to contact the coach or the office to discuss having a try-out with the team.  We continue to offer self-directed and lower cost Premier, Competitive and House League programs to all players in Calgary.
